Digital Image Technician

With the camera's digital capabilities, digital image technicians (DITs) assist the director of photography (DoP). Given that these limitations are different from shooting with film, they provide advice to the DoP on contrast, brightness, and the impacts of under or overexposure. Additionally, they give the camera crew advice on photos that are currently being filmed, pointing out any soft focus, framing errors, or unsightly reflections and shadows. The recorded content is subjected to quality control assessments. On professional shots, the majority of digital video is captured in raw form, meaning the colour is added in post-production rather than being baked into the image. DITs color-correct the raw film to give viewers a preview of the final product.
